Dr. Diaz and Life Psychiatry truly helped me through one of the most difficult times in my life. From the very beginning, the staff made me feel heard, supported, and treated with genuine compassion. They took the time to listen, understand what I was going through, and create a treatment plan that really made a difference. Thanks to their care and guidance, I've made so much progress and feel more hopeful about the future. I'm incredibly grateful for everything they've done and would highly recommend Life Psychiatry to anyone looking for respite whether it is addiction, depression or just being heard. Absolutely incredible! The support and dedication this clinic gives out is unheard of. Everybody is absolutely incredible and you can really tell that they care deeply about you. Over the past two months alone, he has overcome more than we ever thought possible, and we truly believe Dr. Diaz has been a blessing in that progress. Dr. Diaz is everything you hope to find but rarely do…wonderful, patient, and deeply understanding, even when the situation is far from easy. His care reflects a Christ-like compassion that is felt in every interaction. He takes the time to truly listen, not just to us as parents but to our son, showing grace, kindness, and genuine concern for his well-being. What truly sets him apart is how he teaches along the way. He doesn’t just “treat” symptoms, he helps you understand how and why the brain is working the way it is. Originally diagnosed with ADHD from a previous psychologist. Dr. Diaz changed his diagnosis to High Functioning Autism. We are all so blessed …. My poor baby was going through it and so were his parents ! …. He was diagnosed with ADHD and also on the spectrum of being Autistic …. His other Dr’s were treating him for ADHD only …. Many meds …. Nothing seemed to help …. Dr. Diaz said they were treating him the wrong way …. You treat the Autism first …. Took him off all the meds the other Dr’s were giving him and started him on new meds …. He is now doing much much better in school and home ! …. He is on the high functioning level of Autism …. Very smart as we all knew he was since he was just a baby …. He’s now 8 years old …. After many tears from parents and myself and also many many prayers Dr. Diaz was finally found ! …. We have been seeing Courtney Riggs, PA-C. She is absolutely INCREDIBLE! She's so caring and genuine! My son is very cautious of all people he doesn't know and he's very good at reading people's true intentions. He rarely shows any emotion outwardly. When Courtney starts talking with us, he absolutely lights up! He's hanging on to her every word and remembering her advice long after our visits. It's become the only "doctor appt" we both look forward to! lol The way it works there, you fill out paperwork online before making your intake appt. Then, at the intake appt you just answer background and personal history questions. The next appt is meant for diagnosis and treatment plan. So, when we came for the second appt, Courtney had obviously scoured the notes that had been taken at the intake appt. I loved that she thoroughly explained my son's struggles and strengths through how the brain works and more specifically how his brain works. She essentially explained and proved the diagnosis before she ever even stated the diagnosis! I loved that! Courtney is VERY knowledgable about what she does and I couldn't be more impressed with the treatment plan as well, which was highly important to me. The office is comfortable, the staff is super friendly and helpful. They send plenty of reminders before appointments, which I appreciate greatly! I have had absolutely NO problems with any part of the process so far. I'm so happy I brought my son here. I had never been much for taking medication, but I gave it a try on Dr. Diaz’s recommendation. It took… months, many months, of trial and error with different medications. I didn’t respond well to a lot of what was first prescribed, either still not sleeping or sleeping but being too groggy to function. Dr. Diaz kept following up with me, though, and trying different things until finally we found the right fit. Now I can sleep and I wake without feeling too groggy. I never thought I’d be able to find help I experienced such compassion from the whole staff I had contact with. I finally have hope for a future. If you are looking for a Christian based practice this is it.This is my second time to see DR. RIGGS. She makes you feel like you have known her for ever. It’s amazing how much my life has changed for the better. Life psych. Has been are n answer to 30 years of depression,anger, and hopelessness. They know about the meds you need because they get to the know the patient first. They don’t just throw pills at the problem. Your first appointment is going to be intake to get to know you and learn about your past. The second visit is going to be them LISTENING TO YOU and coming up with a collaborative plan based off of your symptoms. I cannot recommend this place enough. KUDOS!Posted on Google432 days agoI met Dr. Diaz and the front desk staff when he was at a different facility. It's the first time my boys actually felt comfortable with someone to open up and talk to. I know have the wonderful privilege of being able to been seen my him as well as my children. He not only listens, but he gets down to your level and understands you. The ladies at the front desk and Mrs. Diaz are always so easy to talk to. They insure all my questions and concerns are taken care of in a quick, timely manner. They're personal, polite and professional. Kevin has been amazing. I get to be myself, talk about all the things that bother me, how I wanted to react to them and he helps me find ways to deal with my trauma. He laughs with me and sometimes at me, BECAUSE IT'S FUNNY AND I GIVE HIM PERMISSION TO LAUGH AT ME. He is down to earth. It's like I get to talk to a father figure with the wisdom and knowledge he shares. He's definitely been real with me, which is the best way to deal with life. I'm beyond grateful of all the help, advice, laughter, and gentleness I and my children receive at Life Psychology. I now have the wonderful opportunity for my bestie to receive treatment from this great team. I truly believe that they want the best for you. Dr. Diaz isn't like your normal dr. He's energetic and encouraging. Thank you ALL for being such loving great people. I must admit my first thought was” man this cat is a live wire this should be good” You have been given a very precious gift ,you are able to break through the deep darkness I was in and now for the first time in 10+ years I feel I have hope. I love the way you allowed christ to be magnified. Every one I’ve met has been kind and caring and the atmosphere ls peaceful. I was happy to see how you shared with me and my wife why I do some of the things I do. You usedThe brain on the screen to inform me on what’s going on inside my head. He truly cares about your mental health. He’s smart about what meds to give you to make sure you don’t have horrible symptoms, he makes sure you are better and follows up. He’s caring and more importantly he listens and takes his time with you, adult or child. Hard to find doctors like him. if you need someone who talks to you like a friend, who makes you feel heard and seen, who can give you an accurate diagnosis and treat you appropriately to make you feel AT YOUR BEST.
