Dr. Diaz, M.D.
Dr. Carlos M. Diaz is a patient-centered board-certified Psychiatrist that emphasizes compassionate and culturally-literate patient care. He is licensed to treat adults, children, and adolescents with a wide range of psychiatric diagnoses.
Dr. Diaz’s unique perspective centers around the belief that some patients have physiological psychiatric issues and some face challenges in areas of life that affects their physiology. He takes pride in empowering his patients to reach their full potential, recognizing that they personally possess the inner strength to overcome obstacles, both physiologically and psychologically.
A native New Yorker, Dr. Diaz obtained his medical degree from the American University of Antigua, completed his psychiatry residency in Miami, FL, and graduated from his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL.

Dr. Courtney Riggs, PA-C
Dr. Courtney Riggs, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in psychiatry and dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate psychiatric care. Originally from Beaufort, SC, she earned her Doctor of Medical Science and Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, TN, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina.
At Life Psychiatry, Courtney works in seamless collaboration with Dr. Diaz, ensuring patients receive the most comprehensive and effective psychiatric care. Their team-based approach allows for a smooth, coordinated treatment experience, where medical expertise and compassionate care come together to support each patient’s unique mental health journey. With a passion for psychiatry and a faith-based approach to medicine, Courtney is committed to helping patients achieve lasting wellness through evidence-based and personalized treatment.
Outside of the clinic, Courtney enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs, tackling home renovation projects, and actively participating in her local church community.

Kevin Dudeck, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Anger Management Specialist, is committed to guiding individuals through life’s challenges with compassion and expertise. Teresa Sapp, PMHNP-BC
Teresa Sapp is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with nearly 30 years of experience in healthcare. She is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach and her ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life. Teresa believes that trust, empathy, and active listening are the foundation of effective mental health care.
Throughout her career, Teresa has worked in a wide range of settings, including emergency care, community clinics, and mental health services. Her medical and military backgrounds give her a deep understanding of the physical and emotional challenges people face, and she uses that insight to provide care that is thoughtful, respectful, and tailored to each person’s needs.
